September

September was a fun and full of firsts. We took our very first true road trip vacation. We drove through the night to Atlanta (10 hrs) and stayed there a few nights visiting Gpa and Gigi. Then we took Gpa and Gigi with us as we drove the 6 Hrs to Orlando for one week at Orange Lake Resort. We had a great time and really enjoyed spending time with Gpa and Gigi. We spent lots of time in the different pools at the resort and the kids loved the arcade. Myla participated in a hula hoop contest. We also visited Downtown Disney and ate at the RainForest Cafe which was a giant HIT with the kids. Jaden and Myla loved it everytime it rained and the animals came to life. We also had to order the volcano dessert which everyone enjoyed after lunch. The driving was long but well worth the trip. The kids are anxious to go back and they want to go to Disney World next time!
Also in September, Myla was able to roller skate for the first time. She did awesome and picked it up really quickly. She was super tired and we had to nurse her first little toe blister :( Seems like the kids have both hit growth spurts this month and we can't wait to see how big they are at their check ups in Nov. and Dec. August

We had a fairly uneventful August. My knee rehab is going good. Myla is still doing gymnastics and loving it. Jaden is starting to talk and still climbing all the furniture. Our kids are great eaters as you can see in the pictures below and we always have fun times around our dinner table. Jaden saw Myla eating corn on the cob and wanted to give it a try. He did really well and likes doing "big kid stuff." We have a family vacation planned at the beginning of September so we were busy getting ready for that.

July

Our July was super fun! Our month started out by having our cousins - Rick, Amy, Katelyn and Lauren Duey visit us for July 4th weekend. While they were here, we went swimming, ate at Duey's pizza, rode the carousel at Chesterfield Mall and of course shot off fireworks. They three girls had a great time playing together and Jaden loves to ride on anything moving! (see pictures below.)

Also this month, Myla had a park play date with her friend Cadence and she attended VBS for the first time (and LOVED it!!!!!) I wasn't sure if she would be too tired after staying up late every night that week but she did great and we all slept late on Saturday morning.

We also went to the lake at the end of the month and little Jaden hit a milestone - he ate a PB&J sandwich all by himself. He didn't want to eat the little pieces, he wanted to hold the big sandwich and take bites. I can't believe how he is growing and he is every bit as independent as his big sister. I love it and hate it all at the same time :)

My knee surgery recovery is going quite well and my doctor and physical therapist say that I am ahead of schedule. I told them that I didn't really have time to be immobile with two little ones. It has been hard work but worth it. They say in time my knee will be better than it was before the injury - Good thing b/c I can't let my kids out run and out play me!

The kids are both as great ages and lots of fun right now. We are looking forward to what August has in store for us! Here are some of my favorite pics from July. As always check out the photo gallery for all of the July photos.

June

June was lots of fun and interesting. We spent time playing outside and during that process, I injured my knee and had to have knee surgery. The kids did great and Myla was a big help. Heath took great care of the kids and fixed some wonderful meals (the top two pictures below are of Jaden eating Spaghetti) The last picture is of Myla in the car (ain't she pretty?) The kids are growing quickly and we are having so much fun with them. You can see more picture from the month in our Photo Gallery.

CRAZY LIFE

Our life has been pretty crazy lately so I took a break from blogging but I know everyone is missing seeing pictures of the kids. I have added a photo gallery full of pictures from each month if you want to catch up on our spring events. Because I added the photo gallery I will not be posting as many pictures in my blog entries, so check out pictures there.

Our May was super busy. The Recap: Our little Jaden turned one year old and was baptized at church - Myla had her first gymnastics show - Grandpa and Gigi came for a visit - Myla, Jaden and I made a quick trip to Mtn. Grove to visit Granny and Grandad - Myla and Jaden went to Deer Camp and rode 4 wheelers for the 1st time - Jaden had his 1st waverunner ride and Myla had her 1st swim in the lake and her 1st mini golf experience.

The kids are getting so big and learning so much. Myla is practicing writing her name and Jaden is busy learning to run. We bought the kids a swingset for the backyard and we spend most evenings outside.
